Hanoi

The capital of Vietnam, Hanoi, is known for its ancient architecture and rich culture infused with Southeast Asian, Chinese and French influences. At the heart of the bustling city, is the disordered Old Quarter where the narrow streets are coarsely classified by trade. There are countless little temples, including the oldest of its group, Bach Ma ('White Horse Temple') which honours a legendary horse who aided the construction of the majestic religious abode. Along these stream of places of worship, are shopping complexes such as Dong Xuan Market located minutes away from the St. Joseph's Cathedral, selling household goods and super cheap street food such as the traditional Pho and Com Tam.
