Located just below the lush Bavarian alps is the famous Neuschwanstein Castle, one of the most popular landmarks and tourist destinations in all of Germany. This castle was commissioned by the infamous "Mad" King Ludwig II in the 19th century, and this Romanesque Revival-style structure is beautifully surrounded by a magical and fascinating ambiance - you'll actually feel like you're walking inside a fairy tale dream! Your tour will begin from Munich and from there, you'll head to the iconic castle. Be ready for a brief walk uphill to reach your destination; a little bit of a work-out won't hurt anybody. After paying for the castle entrance fee, your tour guide will take you inside where you'll be learning all about this dream-like palace straight out of the stories of your childhood. If you didn't know, the castle is actually the inspiration behind Disney's Cinderella castle. Walk through its vast hallways and rooms and hear about the peculiar life and times of King Ludwig II. Aside from the interior tour, you may also be dropping by Hohenschwangau Castle, Marienbrücke, and other Bavarian places with a spectacular panorama of mountains. Take in the magnificent views and sights before heading back to Munich when night falls. Nothing is better than feeling like royalty for just one day! Itinerary: - 09:30 depart from Munich Central Train Station - 11:30 arrive at Neuschwanstein Castle - Guided tour to Neuschwanstein Castle, Marienbrücke, and other Bavarian places with the spectacular panorama of mountains - A separate internal tour of the king’s private chambers - 16:30 depart from Neuschwanstein Castle - 18:30 arrive back in Munich
