This beach paradise island has more up its sleeves than just the usual beach activities. With many restaurants and cafes opening up in recent years, it is gaining popularity as a foodies’ destination and hey, we can’t say no to trying out these eight places.

Nonie's Restaurant

Serving local food with a healthy twist, Nonie’s is one of the best places to eat on the island. The owners prize owning a socially responsible restaurant, which gives back to their society. Vegans will be pleased to learn that there are many options for them on the menu too.

You will enjoy almost everything on the menu, from beef briskets to sliders and sweet fruit bowls.

D'Talipapa Market

You are on vacation and not necessarily interested in cooking your own food, so why would you visit a market? Well, D’Talipapa sells the freshest seafood with some of the catch still alive!

Put your bargaining skills to the test to get loads of seafood before getting them cooked for you at stalls and restaurants just next to the market. We guarantee the food served will be delicious and all the more satisfying because of the effort you put in to pick them out.

Dos Mestizos

Join in the local culture of having Spanish food and drinks on Saturday evenings with Dos Mestizos. The calamari and oysters are fresh and the ambiance is perfect for a romantic dinner date.

Sunny Side Cafe

Nothing quite beats sleeping in when you are traveling, and we get it. For once, you don’t have to make yourself report to anywhere but as a breakfast lover, you don’t want to miss out. So head over to Sunny Side Cafe, conveniently located on Station Three of White Beach.

Indulge in pancakes topped with cereal, potato fritters, and the most important, life-saving coffee made from specialty grade coffee beans.

Lemoni Cafe & Restaurant

Another good alternative restaurant for brunch is Lemoni Cafe. They have cakes, cookies, and pastries baked fresh from their own kitchen. In fact, you can go for discounted treats from the day before (yes they will tell you what is fresh and not).

They also have an international menu with some memorable main dishes, like the Norwegian Salmon with Potatoes as well as other types of fish including tuna, mahi-mahi, and pork.

Halo Mango

When you are melting under the sun, and dying for something cold to cool you down, head to Halo Mango. Authentically made out of mangoes, you will enjoy this creamy dessert shop which not only serves soft serves but bowls with watermelon and pineapples too.

Coco Mama

But, mangoes can be heaty so why not pair it with some coconut and pandan ice cream. It is gluten-free and you can have some sticky rice added to the mix too. Yum. Coco Mama even does its part for the environment by reusing their coconut shells as bowls for your dessert.

From the owners of the above Sunny Side Cafe and Coco Mama, comes the very first and only food hall of Boracay. With many people in a group and different food preferences, you won’t have to fight it out at this picnic like hawker center.

Feed your cravings of western food from pizzas to pasta or favorite Asian delicacies like curry crab and nasi goreng.
