Located at Tanjong Pagar, Apiary has opened up a Baileys Treat Bar at its cafe this year. Available from the 2nd to 31st December 2020, the bar will offer Bailey-infused desserts such as ice cream and iced chocolate and coffee.

I had the luxury of going down to try the limited edition desserts personally and definitely enjoyed the experience. I was in awe of the hipster-looking interior as well as amazing tastes of the desserts.

There are five main items on the menu for the Bailey’s Treat Bar - Baileys & Brownies ice cream ($4.70), Baileys Red Velvet Cake ice cream ($4.70), Baileys Strawberries & Cream ice cream ($4.70), Baileys Iced Chocolate ($9.90) and Baileys Iced Coffee ($9.90).

I tried out the Baileys & Brownies ice cream, as well as the Strawberries & Cream flavoured one.

The former flavour is made using the Original Baileys Irish Cream alcohol, with brownie bits incorporated to add an extra tinge of sweetness. The alcohol taste was quite apparent in this flavour and I personally loved it. The ice cream was creamy and a perfect balance of sweet and bitter. The brownie pieces created more texture and bite to it as well.

Those who prefer a flavour that does not have a strong alcohol taste should go for the Strawberries & Cream ice cream! Personally, I could not taste the Baileys in it at all and overall it tasted more like a normal strawberry gelato. Those who have a sweet tooth will definitely like this though!

As for the Baileys Red Velvet Cake ice cream, I did not manage to try it but it looks extremely good as well. It is made using the Red Velvet Baileys which contains 17% alcohol content.

On top of ice cream, I tried out their Baileys Iced Chocolate as well which was simply a surprise. It was much better than I expected and definitely something I would have again. Spicing things up from a typical chocolate drink, it will leave you feeling slightly boozy without the taste being too overpowering. I love that the drink came in a fancy cup as well, with swirls of chocolate at the side. Not only was it aesthetically pleasing, the taste itself was amazing.

I visited the pop-up treat bar on a weekday night and it was packed. You will be given a queue number when there are no seats and they will ring you up again when there are available spaces. Do head down during non-peak hours to avoid the wait!

This pop-up bar was previously exclusive to only a few countries such as France. It is now available in Singapore, so if you are looking for a hipster place to chill at with your friends, the Baileys Treat Bar is an ideal spot. Come down to check them out!
