If you hate beer, you have never tried Belgian beers. Belgian beers are known for their fruity, light flavors which is due to the local yeast that is used. They are often used in cooking local dishes as well. From your favorite triples to pale ales, here are the top places to have an authentic Belgian beer at.

As its name suggests, this co-op brewery is continuously experimenting with different malts, hops, and flavors to bring the best to their customers. There are 15 beers on tap, coming out fresh and there are bottles you can try from past batches of experiments.

Brasserie Cantillon

This brewery has a long history of making beer, going all the way back to 1900. You can take a tour to learn about how the whole place creates yeast for the beers as well as sample the drinks. Be sure to try their specialty: Lambic beers.

Instead of old, why not go for vintage? Restobieres has one of the most unique decors, with shelves lined with pots and cans.  They cook authentic Belgian dishes with home-brewed beers leaving with you a cozy, homely feeling. The chef even sells his own recipe book so that you can try your hand at the dishes when you get home and missing the food. And of course, Restobières also offers a wide range of beer from all over Brussels including that of Formi Diable beer, which is specially brewed by Van Eecke Brewery.

Brasserie Verschueren

Once a gathering place for the Resistance in World War II, this brewery continues to provide a unique ambiance with its Art Deco design. Be inspired to talk up with other patrons after sipping on their Triple and Siason. Do note that they only accept cash so have some bills ready.

This is the ultimate place to go crazy on your beer intake. You can choose from over 2000 beers in this establishment, a feat that is acknowledged by the Guinness Book of Records as the longest beer list in the world. Located near the Jeanneke Pis statue, this place is super easy to find and you are most likely to be able to get any beer you want, from anywhere in the world. Ask and you shall receive.
