As someone with a major sweet tooth, I am always on the hunt for the best dessert bars in Singapore to satisfy my cravings. No matter how full you may feel after a hearty meal, there should always be room for a sweet finish.
Luckily for night owls with a penchant for sweet treats, most of these dessert bars are open until the wee hours of the morning (not pre-pandemic kind of late, but still quite late) for you to get your ice cream fix at any time of the day.
In Singapore, we are rarely short of good dessert cafes. Here are a handful of establishments that serve up some of the best sweet desserts to fulfill your decadent desires.
The Ice Cream Bar
Famous Malaysian ice cream cafe, The Ice Cream Bar, has finally opened its doors in Singapore! Located in Kampong Bahru, The Ice Cream Bar serves up artisanal ice cream, but the stars of the show are the alcoholic flavours offered, including Guinness Pistachio, Whiskey Red Velvet, and Bacardi Choc Crunch, among others. It’s the best kind of post-supper treat to end off the day, if you ask us. What’s even better is that they’re open until midnight, so you can wander out for some late-night snacking if you’re feeling peckish.
Address: 59 Kampong Bahru Rd, #01-01, Singapore 169367
Opening Hours: Monday to Thursday from 12:30pm–10:30pm, and Friday and Saturday from 12:30pm–12am

Monday Blues
If you’re a night owl looking for decadent dessert spots, look no further than Monday Blues. With its signature dishes such as cloudy waffles and cones, you’re bound to chase away those start of the week blues you might be feeling. Treat yourself to Cloudy Waffles ($14.80), which comes with two dollops of ice cream. We recommend adding a cotton candy cloud at an additional price of $2 (for the ‘gram and because it’s yummy). Trust us, it is so worth it.

LoFi Bar
Nestled in the quaint neighbourhood of Hougang is a brand new ice cream cafe that serves up unique flavours such as mala waffles and coriander-flavoured ice cream. Apparently, they have converted 80% of coriander haters with just this gelato flavour. You decide if you’re up for the challenge. If you’re more of a no-treats-until-after-supper person, LoFi Bar is open until 2am on weekends too.

Just like the signature desserts from its first outlet, Smile Dessert’s second outlet boasts souffle pancakes, traditional desserts, and bingsu.
