Chez Vous: HideAway is located in Tower B (its main outlet is situated on level 5), and you’ll arrive at the entrance after taking a lift up to level 14. If you don’t keep your eyes peeled, you might just miss the signage on the sand-coloured door. The whimsical doorway is an early indicator that this salon is different from others: it’s a tucked-away haven – an oasis of sorts – designed for the working adults who need their respite from the hustle and bustle of city life.

Established in 1995, Chez Vous has proudly opened two outlets, both located in Ngee Ann City. Its second outlet on level 14, aptly named HideAway, was specifically created to suit customers’ needs for relaxation. The team sought feedback from regular patrons, and compiled a list of dream features for a salon from the customers’ perspectives.
Knowing that a majority of its clients wanted a salon that was quirky, secretive, and something off the beaten track – Chez Vous began to work on its pièce de résistance. The salon also had to feature different facilities and zones that offer multiple experiences for a truly unique experience. However, convenience and accessibility was also a major factor for frequent visitors, hence its attractive location in the middle of town.
It is clear Chez Vous: HideAway knows its customers – its roster of loyal customers includes even those busy bees who are required to attend meetings during their hair appointments. If you need a quiet chair service, simply voice your request to a staff member before your appointment, and you’ll be taken care of.
Once you step into Chez Vous: HideAway, it’s hard to remember you’re still in a commercial property in Singapore. Harry Potter fans will appreciate the walls surrounding the reception area, which resembles a majestic library in Hogwarts, especially with Renaissance paintings and ornamental mirrors lining the walls and doors.
The lounge room is located just behind the reception area, where Chez Vous’ clients are invited to take a breather and relax for a few minutes before their hair appointment.
Have a seat on one of the comfy massage loungers, and let the staff treat you to a complimentary “facial”. Your skin will be misted with 100% pure rose water before being exposed to red light, which has anti-ageing properties, and blue light, which is known to calm the skin down.
Every aspect of the interior is thoughtfully curated: You can also enjoy the gorgeous sight of the massive flower wall situated directly in front of you while undergoing these “facials” and pre-treatments.
The friendly staff will then lead you to a minimalistic space, where the real hair work begins.
Once you are seated, you will be served a welcome drink (usually a floral tea), and another set of quick opening massages (including essential oils) will commence. There’s nothing like multiple massages and mini spa sessions to calm you down during a busy day, especially when self-care has been long neglected during these strange pandemic times.
The thorough consultation begins after the opening massage, where the master hair stylists from Chez Vous: HideAway will run clients through the different prices of available hair treatments. Unlike other salons that prefer to be ambiguous with their prices and packages, Chez Vous prefers to take an alternate route and lay out fixed prices for everyone to see, so there won’t be any unnecessary surprises on the bill at the end.
Since Chez Vous: HideAway prides itself for being a premium, full-fledged salon that has it all, here are some of the services they offer: trendy digital perms, treatments, rebonding, Growth Factor Therapy, and Caucasian Highlights. Depending on the number of services you choose, which include a complimentary haircut for each, the price can range from $199 to $499.
This salon also knows that its clients have different hair scalps. In order to cater to every customer, unique shampoo massages for various hair scalps are provided to suit every individual’s needs. For normal and oily hair scalps, the Swedish Massage is offered. As for dry and sensitive scalps, the Ayurvedic Massage is given. The choice of scrub is also complimentary.

If you prefer to have a more private setting for your hair appointment to take place, Chez Vous: HideAway has just the picture-perfect pink room for you. Enjoy your hair treatments in private if you wish, but be sure to inform the staff beforehand so they can reserve the area prior to your arrival.
When your hair services are completed here (it’s truly a bittersweet moment), you will be brought to a goodbye lane and offered complimentary perfume to freshen up. Of course, even the farewell area is done in style: this salon has a pretty 80s-inspired goodbye lane, filled with patterned walls and neon signs that will have you itching to come back for your next hair-treatment visit.
