Ever had dreams of becoming a singer, or are you one of those who sing shamelessly in the shower and miss going to karaoke? If so, CK Star Entertainment’s new venture: CK Star Celebrity Experiences has just the activities for you.
CK Star Entertainment may be renowned for being one of Asia’s leading concert promoters, bringing in acts like Crowd Lu 盧廣仲, Epik High and Kenny G, but thanks to the COVID-19 pandemic, the entertainment industry has been adversely affected, due to the uncertainty as to when large scale events will be able to resume on a global scale.
Even though CK Star Entertainment is in the midst of exploring possible smaller-scale concerts that are held with limited live audiences and working hard at planning for the eventual return to the ‘new normal, it will take a while for the company and the industry to regain its footing.

Thus, they have decided to set up new ventures and out-of-the-box activities such as these two authentic experiences: the Star Studio Recording Experience and Celebrity Live Stage Experience to budding crooners and karaoke enthusiasts during these unprecedented times of the COVID-19 pandemic.
You will have a chance to walk away with a track or video that is professionally produced, a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to perform live on stage with a band, and an unforgettable chance to be an artist for a day. If you do not have any experience, fret not. These experiences are specially curated for anybody who loves singing, or simply wants to try something new and different.

These sessions are beginner-friendly and stress-free, as you will be guided by professional music producers, who are dedicated to making the atmosphere relaxing and comfortable for you. In return, you will be given the chance to feel what it is like to be a recording singer, surrounded by industry professionals and coached by professional music producers. If you opt for the Celebrity Live Stage Experience, you will also sing with a professional concert touring band, topped with concert-grade lighting and LED backdrops.

First up, we have the Star Studio Recording Experience, costing $288 per session, which can be shared between two people. The price includes 90 minutes of studio time, and guidance from professionals to bring out the best of your vocals. Participants are expected to submit their song choice in advance (whether it is a cover or an original song) and the backing track will be obtained.
A briefing will commence before the session starts, along with a few warm-ups. A few ‘takes’ will be carried out after, with the producer taking the best bits and piecing them together for the final edited track. If you bring your partner or buddy along, take note that duets are recorded separately before being put together during editing. After the session, an MP3 file in an exclusive thumb drive will be given to you.

The next experience is similarly as interesting, titled the Celebrity Live Stage Experience. Going at $799 per session that can be shared between two people, the experience is held at SCAPE Live! Studio that is powered by EBX. Slide into the glittery shoes of a superstar in this no-holds-barred experience that promises first-hand behind-the-scenes immersion, soundchecks, rehearsals with a live band, and finally, fronting the stage with a professional video recording of your superstar debut. Truly the ultimate in showbiz! What’s even better is the Instaworthy shots and videos that you will have after this experience.

The price includes dressing room access and behind-the-scenes experience, an authentic concert live stage experience – the very stage that was previously used by popular bands such as Kodaline and Against The Current. The whole performance will be professionally recorded and handed to you after the session. If you require a higher resolution video, it will be given to you upon request.
The entertainment industry has been hit hard indeed due to the uncertainty of the pandemic, but with these new experiences, it is hopeful that the industry will continue to be supported, this time by aspiring singers, regardless of whether they have prior music experience or not. So why not try these unique singing activities for a change?
