Cookie and Cuddle, a dog cafe named after their two poodle-chihuahua puppies is a place you definitely should visit especially if you have a ruff day. With fresh and homemade desserts and adorable puppies, this cafe gives off the reminiscent of a very warm home.

To begin, the humble cafe is located near Farrer Park MRT station and is close to other good restaurants as well. So, if you’re hungry for desserts, consider Cookie and Cuddle as an option! The cafe is rather small but does not skimp out on providing a very lovely atmosphere. There are a few neon light installation that adds a nice touch to the cafe as well. Whilst the rattan chairs and wooden tables add a nice rustic vibe to the area.

Moving on to the food, we had their White Coffee, Iced Chocolate, Walnut Brownie, and Doggyaki Set. The beverages were amazing, it was full of richness and packed with a strong aroma that leaves you feeling comforted and somewhat energized. The Walnut Brownie, on the other hand, has a sticky consistency which goes perfectly with my definition of a superb brownie.

Their specialty, the Doggyaki is simply a delightful treat! The taiyaki is shaped in the head of a french bulldog (fitting into the theme perfectly) and looks too adorable to eat. But after a bite into this light and fluffy goodness, I could not resist for more. The taiyaki also has a chewy consistency which adds a bit of texture to the dessert. Finally, to top it all off, a scoop of cookie-butter ice cream to accompany the treat. The cafe offers other homemade bakes as well such as cookies and cinnamon rolls but this is all subject to availability.

Other than their food, the main highlight of this cafe is their three poodle-chihuahua puppies! Aged between two to six months, these adorable sibling duo and their friend have won the hearts of many customers to stay longer and come back for more. At the moment, the dogs still need more time to adjust to the new environment so guests are only allowed to view and pet the dogs from the fence. At a young age, the dos are naturally excited and playful around most visitors and the owners were even kind enough to let us feed the dogs to get them eager and energetic.

In all, this dog cafe is definitely different from the ones I’ve visited before in Singapore. The staff is welcoming and friendly and the items are certainly not overpriced. Just a few days after their opening this place has already grown in pup-ularity so I highly recommend that you visit this place outside of the weekends.
