Mark your calendars: an exciting foodie destination is making a comeback in Singapore later this year.
Eatbox, a boutique version of the popular lifestyle pop-up market Artbox Singapore, has announced it will be opening a permanent location this September. Its new home will be located at Tekka Place, conveniently next to the Rocher MRT station.
Organized by Invade — the same creative company behind Artbox and Shilin Night Market — the massive creative food hall will occupy a 9,500-square-foot space. Food-lovers will be able to check out 20 booths and four kiosks serving up a variety of international cuisines and fusion flavours.
Some of the confirmed vendors include Satay Ummi, Butcher The Burger Bar, and Okinawa Onigiri, all of which will be debuting some mouth-watering new items. Think nasi lemak, Butcher truffle eggstarter, and freshly made onigiri-sandwich. Keep your eyes peeled for a full vendor list that will be released soon.
Eatbox will be similar to its larger counterpart, and will offer highly visual points of interests for visitors, such as interactive murals created in collaboration with local artists. We have no doubts that many Instagrammable spots will available throughout the new space.
Parent company Invade has teamed up with several tech powerhouses to create Eatbox, and various programs and systems (such as a cloud operating system, funding support, and more) will enable vendors and start-ups to run smoothly at the soon-to-open destination.
In addition to Eatbox, Invade will create two other large-scale concept spaces at Tekka Place. The upcoming projects include an instant noodle-themed experience playground, as well as a basement content space for retail and recreational purposes.
Admission to Eatbox is free of charge, and more information can be found here.
