This Christmas, you could check out Gardens by The Bay featuring different exhibitions and attractions that are sure to get you in the festive mood. Using the SGRediscover vouchers, I headed down there with my family and had a whole day of fun!
Flower Dome
Stepping into the exhibition, you will be awed by the splendid Christmas decorations put up amongst the lush and vibrant-looking fauna. You will be greeted with a photo-taking area, furnished with soldier figurines and Christmas trees.
After walking past different beautiful flower species, you will come to the middle area of the conservatory where there is an amazing Christmas set-up. Get your cameras ready to capture pictures with your loved ones there!
Spot little gnomes found at corners of the houses! Fun fact, did you know gnomes are known to be symbols of good luck which protect homes from misfortunes.
Marvel at the sights of beautiful flowers throughout your walk, where there are description stands next to them stating their species.
Sustainability was key in building the conservatory. Find out more about the environmental protection efforts made when constructing the Gardens at the mini booth!
You can also write a note to pledge your goal of moving towards environmental protection, or share any related thoughts!
Cloud Forest
The 30m-tall waterfall would catch your eye first as you step into the Cloud Forest, with its majestic and stunning presence.
Unleash your creativity and take unique photos down here! This is me imitating a finger pose to resemble a figurine’s hand.
Check out the unique lego creations of a venus flytrap, pitcher plant, rafflesia and more!
Before exiting the exhibition, you will enter a gallery space featuring a wide array of fauna.
Merchandise Store
If you are looking to buy souvenirs, do head down to the merchandise store found upon exit of the Cloud Forest or Flower Dome. They sell umbrellas to shirts, and even souvenirs featuring iconic-Singapore decorations. For instance, there are the Orchid-pressed plaques - perfect for decorating your workspace or living room!
Christmas Wonderland - Walk of Lights

Christmas Wonderland is probably one of the many highlights during Christmas in Singapore. Every year, crowds will flock to the attraction with their loved ones to relish in the beautiful festive lights. This year’s one was slightly different from previous ones, as there was no ‘snow’ or carnival games, food and drinks. Thanks to staggered time slots, it was also significantly less packed compared to the past.
Path of Tranquility
At the entrance, you will enter the Path of Tranquility where you can be prepared to feel a little dizzy! Capture instagrammable shots here with the lit background.
Magical Carriage
Check out this attraction where the 8-metre long Magical Carriage has 600 LED bulbs illuminating the whole installation.
The Field of Lights
Being my favourite part of Christmas Wonderland, I absolutely loved this section. With the whole grass patch brightly lit up and Marina Bay Sands in the backdrop, the night scene was just stunning. I stood there for so long just to take in the whole amazing view, and think about the fine details and effort behind all of it.
Wishing Fountain
Another highlight to look out for will be the Wishing Fountain! Take a selfie and make a wish - who knows, it might just come true!
The Spalliera

The Spalliera is an iconic structure of the attraction. Without fail, every year it is in Christmas Wonderland and you can spot it from afar to find the place! Fun fact: It is made using white wood from Southern Italy.
Häagen-Dazs™ Chocolate Obsession Display
What could be better than a luscious array of next-level chocolate flavours? This year, Häagen-Dazs™ has collaborated with Gardens by The Bay to bring in three new heaven-on-earth chocolate ice cream. The flavours are dark Chocolate Ganache & Almond Ice Cream, Belgian Chocolate & Hazelnut Ice cream as well as Belgian Chocolate & Hazelnut Stickbar. Indulge in some chocolate goodness after the Walk of Lights!
You can even stand to win $200 worth of vouchers by guessing the number of logos on the Christmas Tree!
If you are looking for a family-bonding activity or a chill hangout idea with your friends, check out Gardens By the Bay! I definitely enjoyed myself here, as there was a balance between fun and relaxation. My family took hundreds of photos and definitely had a great rewinding time.
