In 2012, Lithuanian artist Ernest Zacharevic was hired by the Penang Municipality Council to create artworks that would highlight and fit in with the local culture. Since then, many other artists have joined the movement and created artistic delights from every corner. Here are our top favorites which you should not miss.
Siblings on Bicycle
The most iconic street art is this image of siblings on a bicycle. A bicycle is propped up to the wall, giving you the opportunity to sit on it and pose for pictures. It probably is the easiest to find as it is located on the main street.

Cats
Cat lovers will enjoy the collection of these adorable kitties. Take a picture of patting them or joining their feasting festival.

Siblings on a Swing
There is nothing like swings to relieve some old childhood nostalgia. Sit on the wooden pop-out sit or even try standing on it. P.S. It is rock solid, jutting out from the wall so you won’t have to worry about holding it still.

Kids Reaching Out the Window
Interestingly, this mural is part of the decor of a pastry shop that sells delicious wife biscuits. Two children are reaching out for buns on the bicycle next door and I can’t say I blame them as the biscuits are a great treat to have while walking around.

Boy on a Bike
For those who are into the street look with the hot (literally and figuratively) leather jacket and ripped jeans will enjoy striking a pose on this motorcycle mounted to the red door. There was a cute image of a dinosaur/monster kite behind it but it has since become ruins.
Insider tip: You will have to be taller than, ahem, 160 centimeters to sit comfortably or get someone to help you up.

Children Playing Basketball
Show off your athletic prowess by jumping for the basketball with the children in your background. The basketball was visible in 2015 but seems to have been removed since. Nevertheless, stun your friends on the gram with a gravity-defying shot.

Hin Bus Depot
Painters from around the world are invited to create murals and display artworks in this workshop space. Performances and art classes are also held here during certain seasons. So grab those cameras, and get going. The street art may not last forever so snap this moment of time while you can!
