For the Hip - Sheung Wan
Just a short walk from Hong Kong’s main business district, Sheung Wan is known for its lively and down-to-earth vibe. This area is full of vibrant street art, cafes and vintage stores. While visiting, you should visit the Western Market, a four storey building from 1906 and also the oldest market building in this city. The western market gives you an insight on how buildings are inspired by the British.
Sheung Wan is also a great area for pictures - from it’s murals to its aesthetically pleasing cafes! As the art is constantly changing, be sure to drop by to check out new art!
For the Night Owls - SoHo
If you enjoy the fine things in life, you should visit SoHo, an area home to high tea and boutique stores. SoHo, also known as Hollywood Road, has a reputation for its fancy restaurants and its nightlife. Many new boutiques and restaurants constantly open in this area, so keep your eyes peeled for them!
Enjoy a night in the town at one of their bars as you watch the neighbourhood light up. We recommend visiting “The Old Man”, a bar created in remembrance of the infamous author, Ernest Hemingway.

Venture off to Tai O for a feel of Hong Kong’s rural area. Tai O is a quaint village in LanTau Island filled with unique culture, food and picturesque scenery. Stroll through Tai O’s streets and capture it’s raw nature around. Have a bite to eat here before heading back! As Tai O is a small fishing village, avoid visiting during the weekends as the congestion of both local and tourists may make it hard to venture about.
