Be greeted with the traditional Asian architecture at the entrance and transported to a European-inspired dimension beyond the mountains. This east-meets-west inspired theme park consists of four areas – French Village, Flower Garden, Golden Bridge, and the base of the hill. In this one day itinerary, we will show you the best way to conquer the whole of Ba Na Hills so that you get the most out of your time there.

To help you navigate the park, we have added numbers in brackets to the various landmarks and attractions, numbers that correspond to the park’s map which we have attached at the end of the article for your reference.

Recommended Itinerary

Arrive at the entrance at 10.30 am, with your pre-booked online ticket, and walk through Hoi An Garden towards one of the three cable car stations that will bring you up the mountains. Take a cable car from Suoi Mo Station (09) and it will bring you directly to the French Village without any need for transfers.

Take note: throngs of tour groups tend to start the day sightseeing at the Golden Bridge (20). Avoid the tour groups and come back later. Check out live crowd images on the screens shown to the public before deciding which cable car route to take.

Once you arrive at L’Indochine Station (30), begin to explore this village that has incorporated the French culture in its architecture.

Visit Fantasy Park (25), an indoor amusement park with thrilling rides and entertainment for everyone. While you are there, ride the Alpine Roller Coaster and enjoy the scenic views of the park.

Come noon, grab lunch at one of the many international buffet restaurants at the Village such as La Crique, Arapang, and the German-inspired Beer Plaza. Other non-buffet options include Brasserie, L’Etable, and even a fast-food restaurant, Lotteria. Read more on our Ba Na Hills restaurant guide at Foodie's Guide to Ba Na Hills, Da Nang.

At 2.30 pm, watch performances at the centre of the village for free before heading downhill to the next main area.

Around 4 pm, make your way to Debay Station (11) via a cable car from Morin Station (29). Expect to see a lesser crowd at the gardens in the late afternoon, as families generally take cover at Fantasy Park where children are kept busy and parents can take a breather.

Sample wine at the Debay Wine Cellar (14) built in the year 1923, admire the Sakyamuni Buddha or the 27-meter tall Ling Ung Pagoda (17) overlooking mountains and take pictures at a crowd-free garden amidst splendid landscaped botanical at Le Jardin D’Amour Flower Garden (16).

Experience what it is like to travel down the Swiss Alps as you board the funicular from Bana Station (12) to Le Jardin Station (13).

Venture towards a sheltered path lavishly decorated with beautifully entwined flowers and arrive just in time to catch the “golden hour” at Ba Na Hills’ pride, the Golden Bridge

Soak in all that you can at your final stop of the day and take the cable car at Marseille Station (18) towards Hoi An Station (05), the closest cable car station to the exit and the fastest way to your hotel transfer pick up points.

While we recommend this itinerary, do not limit yourself to this route. Judge for yourself if a particular attraction may be too crowded for your liking at the moment, you can always move on and come back later.

When to Visit

Take note that Da Nang’s monsoon season falls between the months of September to March. During this period, expect rainy weather, strong winds, and lesser crowds. Do check the weather forecast and pack an extra jacket, as well as, an umbrella prior to your visit.

March to October would therefore be the best time for you to visit so you can enjoy the cool Da Nang weather. However, this does intersect with Ba Na Hill’s peak tourist season, which starts late April/early May and ends around late August/early September. So do consider these factors before deciding on when to visit the park.

Getting to Ba Na Hills

We recommend pre-booking tour packages that include your ticket and transfers guaranteed. While getting there on your own (i.e. through service like Grab) does not pose much of a problem, your return trip faces the usual price surge with fewer drivers travelling into Ba Na Hills to pick passengers up.

Fortunately, there are other private hire drivers waiting on standby to pick up stranded passengers like yourself, though at the cost of burning a hole through your wallet.
