It’s no secret by now that Netflix’s hit Korean show, Squid Game, has taken the world by storm and established itself as a pop-culture phenomenon. Not to let go of a viral marketing opportunity, many eateries have also hopped on the trend, offering delectable Squid Game-inspired treats.
With Halloween right around the corner (literally), it is a perfect opportunity to treat yourself to some of these trendy desserts. Don’t worry though, there are no deadly repercussions if you don’t do so.
Brown Butter Cafe
Riding first on the trend is Brown Butter Cafe, which launched its infamous Dalgona candy challenge from the get go. Similar to the drama, guests will have the opportunity to play the game, with two minutes to cut out the shape of their imprinted candy. Those who succeed will get to enter a lucky draw, and win either a free iced latte or pastries. However, those who fail will have to take a photo next to a “coffin” and share on it social media.
This challenge is available at Brown Butter from Monday to Friday between 12pm to 6pm, with a minimum table spending of $30.
