In this street bazaar, experiencing a hectic and bustling atmosphere is no surprise. Lined up across both sides of the streets are stalls selling womenswear (which explains its name), accessories, jewellery, toys, souvenirs and street snacks! Despite its name, there are many items for men and children as well.

Further down the street, you may chance upon Goldfish Street where there are local stores selling plants and fishes.

For the foodies, don’t miss out on the wide variety of food at the market itself, and around its vicinity.

Fa Yuen Street

In the past, Fa Yuen Street (花园街) was a district where flowers were grown, and hence the Chinese street name given, which literally means “flower garden street”.

There are two different areas to Fa Yuen Street: the Sneaker Street (Fa Yuen Gai" 花園街) and the street market stalls along Mong Kok Road and Prince Edward Road West.

Along the famous and commonly visited Sneaker Street, you can find a whole variety of footwear for different kinds of sports or events. From soccer boots to cross-trainers, you can find them all here.There are also sporting bags and accessories priced affordably.

Whether you are a Nike fan or Fila lover, sports gurus will be happy to know that there are many brands available there, even the limited edition models!

As for the street market stalls, many of them resemble closely to that of Ladies’ Street. If you are looking for a quieter area compared to the crowded Sneakers’ Street, this area is a good option!

Yau Ma Tei

As one of the largest and liveliest night markets of Hong Kong, you will be able to satisfy your retail therapy or Hong Kong street food cravings all at once. 

The stalls offer a wide range of items such as watches, clothing, pirated DVDs and tea antiques. 

Besides the street snack stalls, there are restaurants around selling Cantonese seafood, Japanese or Italian pizza which are extremely well-known.

Shanghai Street

Famous for being the spot to get your kitchen tools, Shanghai Street is packed with shops selling utensils, crockery, knives, chopping boards and also cooking ingredients. 

If you love cooking or baking, this street will definitely be to your liking!

It is located conveniently within walking distance away from Yau Ma Tei MTR station.

Sham Shui Po

Specialising in selling electronics, electrical components and related products, Apliu street shopping was once known as ‘geek shopping’.

However, over the years, many stalls started selling laptops, TVs, cameras and phones as well. If you are looking for items like a vintage camera or ancient radio, do head down here!

As a treasure trove for toys, this place is also called ‘Toy Street’. Over here you can find simple play sets for children to collectibles for the adults.

From Marvel to Star Wars to Hello Kitty or Peppa Pig, there is an endless variety of toys for both genders here.

They often display seasonal products, do check them out!

Stanley

Located in the seaside town of Stanley, Stanley street offers Hong Kong souvenirs, clothing - silk garments and traditional wear specifically, art, luggages and toys. 

The street is not extremely big as it only has two streets so you would be able to cover the place in under two hours!

Bargaining:

At many of these streets, bargaining is justifiably famous and are thus a mecca for those seeking a deal. If you try haggling the price, you may reduce it to much lesser than the original quotation!
