The Garden Slug franchise may be familiar to some. The franchise first opened in 2006 but now they recently opened up another outlet in Kovan that’s pet-friendly! Unlike their first outlet, this cafe has a more earthly and minimal touch, with thirty seats available for customers to dine-in. Their food options are relatively similar to their first outlet, serving a wide variety of breakfast and brunch food for customers and their pets, making sure both parties have a good and hearty meal. On average, be expected to spend a minimum of $20 per pax for their western-meals.

Pantler

Pantler has recently moved to River Valley and has grown stronger than ever! This Japanese-France fusion bakery simply loves spoiling their customers with choices. The richness of their ingredients and exquisite methods has managed to individually craft each dessert to perfection. Many have greatly enjoyed their Chou A La Creme that are priced at $5 each. Every puff is light and crunchy and has an incredibly soft and creamy inside. It’s just addictive.

Nusantara Singapore

Nusantara itself refers to the Indonesian Archipelago and from the name you’ve guessed it, the place specialisizes in Indonesian cuisine. Indonesian cuisine itself are known to be rich and thick with flavours such as tumeric, cumin and dries chillis. Nusantara has managed to capture all of those aspects but allows customers to customise them creatively in adorable rice bowls. Customers get to decide on their rice flavours, gravy, vegetables and condiments while keeping the prices affordable. The best part? Nusantara has vegan and vegetarian options available!

Rails Bar and Lounge

Rails Bar and Lounge aspires to transport you to places with their food. Inspired by the Tanjong Pagar Railway station, the restaurant is specifically themed and designed to provide visitors with a steampunk getaway. Their food is supplied by Chix Hot Chicken and offers amazing chicken sandwiches and waffles for an incredible portion at a small price. Other than that, most customers patronise the area for drinks and some good disco-grooving music.

The restaurant’s name is a play of the popular acronym FOMO (fear of missing out) but instead of that, it stands for Joy of Missing Out. Essentially, it focuses on the present and encourage people to fully live in the moment. They do this by selling popular Australian barbeque foods such as sausages, burgers and ribs. Their happy hour runs daily from 3pm to 6pm and this allows you to get a draft beer from $6! This makes a perfect place to meet for a hearty meal.

The Neptune

The Neptune is heavily inspired by Japanese culture. The cafe is lined with pastle green and white tiles and wooden framework which gives off a zen-like atmosphere. The peaceful restaurant sells Japanese-inspired breakfast food for brunches and Japanese-Western fusion dishes for lunch and dinner. The cafe also offers a wide diversity of drinks from your usual coffee and teas to matcha of various blends. This cafe is truly the perfect pitstop for a quick coffee fix or for you to simply unwind from a hectic day.
