It's no secret there are many world-class hospitality properties here in Singapore. From staycations at luxury hotels to stylish serviced apartments to pet-friendly hotel stays, guests can choose from a handful of outstanding establishments for their getaway.

Whoever claimed money couldn't buy happiness probably hasn't enjoyed a deluxe breakfast while lounging in a private pool. Since travel restrictions have eased here, we can expect more visitors to make their way to our tiny red dot in 2022. That’s why it’s fitting we will see a handful of new hotel additions this year, featuring everything from distinctive themed rooms to upscale spa and fitness facilities.

Read on to see which highly anticipated hotel openings are taking place in Singapore this year.

Pullman Singapore Orchard Hotel

Following a sophisticated restoration, the Pullman Singapore Orchard is set to reopen in early 2022. The hotel will be part of a mixed-use development within a short walk from some of Singapore's most well-known retail malls, including Paragon, ION Orchard, and Ngee Ann City. 

The Pullman Singapore Orchard will include 308 rooms beautifully remodeled with Pullman's modern design standards in mind, with a herringbone façade and a sleek poolside bar. In addition, Pullman's distinctive culinary creations will be introduced to thrill both resident and guests' palates. Those looking to recover after a day of shopping or exploration may enjoy an energizing exercise or some much-needed R&R at the hotel's health club and outdoor pool.

Artyzen Cuscaden

The Artyzen Hospitality Group's property will be a newly designed hotel on Cuscaden Road, located in the center of Singapore's iconic shopping district, Orchard Road. This soon-to-open hotel, built by Australia-based interior design company Nicholas Graham & Associates and Singapore-based architect company Ong & Ong, will be 20 stories tall with 142 rooms. Suites will be available in eight rooms, allowing individuals and couples to relax and enjoy their getaways and honeymoons in luxury.

In terms of F&B and amenities, guests will be able to enjoy Peranaken-inspired cuisines and a garden-themed spa.

Singapore Raffles Sentosa Resort & Spa

The upcoming Raffles Sentosa Resort & Spa Singapore is nestled on 24 acres of tropical gardens, complete with stunning views of the surrounding South China Sea. Its owners have spared no expense for its construction.

The resort will feature 61 luxury villas in a seamless indoor-outdoor layout, and will take advantage of its lush surroundings of private pools and covered outdoor sitting areas. In addition, the hotel will have a bar, several restaurants, a gym, a Raffles Spa, and the signature Raffles Butler service, famed for being discreet and smart.

In other words, guests will probably never want to leave the property.

Hilton Singapore Orchard

The Hilton Singapore Orchard is Asia Pacific's largest Hilton hotel, located in the heart of Orchard Road's shopping and entertainment district. Guests will have no shortage of cafes and restaurants to visit, as well as luxury boutiques. Subway stations with links to Marina Bay are within walking distance, while Changi Airport is 25 minutes away. This newly renovated hotel has five dining options, over 1,000 rooms, and 2,400 square-meters of event space.

The Citadines Connect City Centre

Singapore isn't particularly large, but anything near the MRT gets extra points. Slated to open this year, the 172-room Citadines Connect City Centre Singapore is a short walk from the Dhoby Ghaut MRT station, offering convenience for your next vacation with the gang. The hotel features a rooftop restaurant, an outdoor pool, an outdoor terrace, and a gym. But if you want your schedule to be even more jam-packed, Plaza Singapura is just a short walk away and offers even more food options and entertainment.

The Singapore Edition

This highly anticipated property is set-to-open its doors in 2023 after lengthy delays due to the pandemic. Edition Hotel is owned by American hotel owner Ian Schrager in collaboration with Marriott International.

The eight-story boutique hotel will include 190 rooms on the old Boulevard Hotel site along Orchard Boulevard. Each room will be stylishly decorated, keeping with the theme found at other Edition Hotels. In addition, futuristic art-like elements in every room will showcase Singapore’s affinity for combining technology and the arts.

Pan Pacific Orchard

Scheduled to open in March 2023, Pan Pacific Orchard is conveniently located near Orchard Road. A highlight of this property will be its eco-friendly and sustainable ethos. Aiming to be a zero-waste hotel, a recyclable water system, compost intiatives, and rainwater harvesting technology will be implemented. 

Guests can expect light and airy rooms, featuring kitchenettes, jacuzzi bathtubs, plush bathrobes, and more. As for amenities, a pool, dining establishments, bars, beauty salon, and sauna will be available.
