Melbourne may be known as cafe paradise, but there are plenty of cosy spots around Perth for a quick bite and great coffee. Here’s our roundup of the perfect place for every type of cafe-hopper - whether it's to try the coffee or snap pictures.

For the perfect coffee: La Veen

It’s not called the best coffee in the city for nothing. These guys are serious about their brew, and they even sell their own beans and filters. Built on the belief that good coffee should always be sourced ethically, the coffee beans used at their cafes are sourced directly from small farmers in Colombia, Guatemala, and Ethiopia. This ensures that the sales directly benefit farmers, and is as close to farm-to-table coffee as it gets.

Croissants, donuts, or eclairs? The mind-boggling array of tasty treats available at Chu’s is sure to leave anyone spoiled for choice. The savoury toasts topped with your choice of cheese, chilli, or dressing is great for diners without a sweet tooth. Pair your pastry with one of their homemade drinks - the hot chocolate is perfect on wintry mornings.

Searching for another #foodporn snap? Look no further. From pancakes decorated with fresh flowers to their perfectly messy-but-not-really burgers, these guys have mastered the art of good-looking food. With a seasonal menu and a nature-themed interior, there’s no better place to snap pictures to liven up your feed. We recommend the Buttermilk Pancakes - just don’t eat the flowers.
