Nowadays, you can’t just feast your mouth and stomach when you pay a visit to cafes with your friends. You have to feast your eyes on the decor and overall aesthetic of the cafe, along with the presentation of the food that’s served to you. With so many factors to consider, it’s no wonder why I feel so stressed whenever my friends ask me to recommend aesthetically-pleasing cafes to them.

If you relate to my experiences, you’ll feel the same way too. But fret not, Singapore is well-known for its booming cafe culture, and there’s definitely an aesthetically-pleasing cafe for everyone.

Cafe de Nicole's Flower

If you’re a lover of floral decor like me, Cafe de Nicole’s Flower will tickle your fancy. This joint floral shop and cafe is located on the east side of Singapore, hence it is quite the travel if you don't live in the east. However, it is worth it. Once you step in, you will be greeted with stunning interiors lined with flowers. The entire cafe is super Insta-worthy, you literally can get good shots at ANY angle. When you’re there, be sure to order their Tiramisu Souffle Pancakes (S$19.90) and pair them with any of their pretty specialty drinks.

A pet-friendly dining area that is also decorated with lush florals from head to toe, Wildseed Cafe’s gorgeous, picturesque conservatory is a true escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. Even though their branch at The Summerhouse is arguably more popular, this location nestled on the top of Telok Blangah Hill Park has caught my attention thanks to the beauty of its exterior and interior designs. Since it is located at a 20th-century colonial bungalow on a hill, one can just imagine how scenic and pretty the place looks. Pair their popular Big Pan Breakfast (S$28) with their signature cocktails or mocktails.

Particularly its newest flagship outlet in Orchard Road, located in the Palais Renaissance shopping mall. Inspired by “France in the Tropics”, this colourful Insta-worthy cafe has captured the heart of those who frequent the area. Bringing the authentic taste of France to Singapore, you won’t be disappointed with their Ravioles de Royans « Palais » (S$22), Barramundi Tartare (S$23), and Crepe Mercel (S$12).

If you’re feeling New York City, Sex and the City, and Magnolia Bakery vibes, this is exactly what the founder intended for the patrons of this gorgeous pastel pink cafe. They serve up pretty bakes that exude a homemade taste (just like how mum does it!) but with their signature whimsical spins on the final products. From their cute pastel Bloom Pots (S$7.90++) to signature Celebration Cakes (S$55++), you will never get bored with their wide array of bakes that just look too pretty to eat!

One of the most popular Japanese cafes in town, Hvala has recently opened its newest 3-storey outlet at Keong Saik Road. Their other two outlets at CHIJMES and TripleOne Somerset are equally as aesthetically pleasing when it comes to their interior designs, but the newest outlet stands out with its plant-based, vegan-friendly menu. Yes, you heard it right. All of their 12 signature gelato flavours are dairy-free, and their popular milk-based beverages will use oat milk at no extra charge.
