While gifting season approaches, show some love for our local Singapore brands. There are many local brands that can be found all around Singapore - some we may not even realise were there! Whether it is clothes, food, accessories or handicrafts, there are many local boutiques you can support this season!

There is something unique about a handmade product - maybe it is the love and hardwork that has been put into it that makes it all the more special. In this series, we have narrowed down some of our favourite local independent boutiques in Singapore, starting with handicrafts!

Looking for an affordable candle? Hush Candle has got you covered! Hush Candle started off as a passion for candles and home fragrances. Not only are their candles affordable, they are also of good quality! They had diligently sourced for natural and fuss free materials to produce their product at the highest quality.

Try one of their classic scents, lemongrass, lavender or rose! They have also recently expanded their product range to include more scents as well as more products such as essential oils and room sprays. Check out their website to find out more about their products!

This Singapore-based design studio creates Singapore inspired lifestyle products with a goal of embracing everyday’s imperfections. They emphasise on simplicity and the little things in life. Their products are inspired by childhood items - from chinese composition books to chinese calendars.

Their brand name is inspired by the age of four, when most children start having first impressions of the life around them. Through their brand, they hope to allow customers to reminisce their childhood once again, through their products. Take a look at their products, which can be found on their website, and let your childhood memories come back to you!

As each piece is uniquely made, each piece is different in its own way. From takeaway chili packets to ondeh ondeh earrings, there is one for everyone. Their pieces are delicately made, one look and you are able to see the amount of love and hard work that has been put into each and every one of their products. You definitely won’t be able to resist buying one, just remember they’re not actually food!
