As you might have inferred from its name, this massage joint was started with the aim to help women inmates develop lifelong skills that will help them reintegrate into mainstream society. These women have each undergone more than 180 hours of training in the art of Thai massage, and the whole experience is very professional and safe. It’s also very affordable, with a one hour Thai massage starting at THB 200. This place gets very popular, so you might want to call in advance to book a slot, otherwise you might have to wait a while longer during peak periods.

Naruncha Beauty & Massage is both a massage parlour and massage school that offers courses that vary in terms of length. Apart from the traditional Thai massage, it also offers other services such as hot herbal compresses, coconut oil massages and aloe vera gel massages at very affordable prices. A traditional Thai massage starts from THB 249 and the aloe vera gel massage is at a pricier THB 399 for an hour.

Perception Blind Massage
Another massage joint with a social mission, Perception Blind Massage was first opened in 2014 to provide a gainful means of employment for the visually impaired in Bangkok. Now, it has opened an outlet in Chiangmai with the intention of expanding to more locations in Thailand. Prices are a bit steeper than the previous two places, but you can be assured that it’s all going towards a meaningful cause. A Thai body massage costs THB 300 for one hour, while the Thai Herbal Ball Body Massage goes for THB 750 an hour. The latter massage makes use of the healing properties of herbs like tamarind leaf, lemongrass and camphor to relieve muscle tension.

Orn Healing Hands was founded by Orn, who is pictured above, and is one of the best places to get your massage in Chiangmai. Orn has an impressive skillset, as she has had plenty of experience in learning and practicing the art of traditional Thai massage in Bangkok before opening her own joint here. Each massage is tailored to what your body needs, so don’t be afraid to let her know about any muscle aches or ailments you might have for a highly personalised massage experience! Orn’s traditional Thai massage starts at THB 300 for one hour, while the pricier selections like the coconut body scrub will set you back by THB 1200 for an hour.

At Kiriya Spa Vana, there’s a wide range of luxurious and refined massage options for you to choose from. It’s a small boutique joint that serves primarily domestic tourists, though these days it’s becoming more popular with foreign tourists as well. While a traditional Thai massage costs THB 500 an hour, you’re poised to get so much more by going for the other packages. Kiriya Spa Vana offers treatments like Coffee Invigorating Ritual, Chocolate Indulgence Ritual and the Citrus Rejuvenation Ritual, which are just some of the more unconventional packages they offer. Head to one of their chicest locations in Nimman, which is housed in a bright red building that’s hard to miss. Indulge in the Oasis Four Hands, where you’ll be assisted by two masseurs instead of just one - you’ll be amazed at the difference this has on your overall massage experience! An hour-long Oasis Four Hands session will set you back by THB 2500, not too bad for a treatment that offers you double the results.
