Really good food but be prepared to queue for a table no matter what day of the week.
The Place
As legendary for its food as it is for its queues, you definitely can’t miss Dishoom while you’re in London. On offer here is traditional Indian fare elevated with a modern twist—a homage to the Irani cafes of old Bombay. From the faultless service to the delectable food, whatever meal you arrive at Dishoom for—be it breakfast, lunch or dinner—be sure that you will leave satisfied.
Insider Tips
Dishoom has multiple outlets across London, with different house specials. Highly recommended is the Chicken Ruby, the Black Daal, and the ever-so-crisp Garlic Naan. Get a (bottomless) cup of milky Masala Chai to wash it down. If you're there for breakfast, get the iconic Bacon Naan Roll. Reservations are highly recommended if you can get them—the queues sometimes do get a bit crazy. We'd recommend checking the Shoreditch outlet out for its open-air patios and gentler crowd.

21 May 2020One of my absolute favorite places in London. Their fried okra dish is amazing. It is the kind of restaurant that you share your food so that you can have a little taste of everything. Best to go with 4 people at one table, for the full proper experience, in my humble opinion. If you like yogurt drinks, their cardamom rose lassi is lovely. It is a bit pricey, but the taste and ambiance has delivered all three times that i've visited this restaurant.

14 Feb 2020Great place to have a decent Indian meal. The place is typically super busy in the evenings and weekends but is available during the week for lunch for two or a large group. Food is okay and the service is good. There are places that do far better Indian food but this is convenient. I do recommend you try it if you haven't.

2 Jan 2020Great food. Hadn’t heard about this place before going in and as soon as I told my London friends I had went, they all couldn’t say enough good things about this place. Rather than focus on ‘majestic dining experiences’ like a lot of high-end Indian restaurants do, they focus on making sure their food is simple, tastes great and isn’t stupidly overpriced. I was a big fan of all the dishes we tried. We ordered family style and I don’t think there was a single dish we didn’t love. Highly recommend and I’m glad to hear there’s one coming to Birmingham
