There have lots of great coffee shops in Surry Hills, Artificer Coffee is one of the best. Owner always friendly and serve high quality coffee, no matter cold brew, pour over and espresso.

Artificer Coffee have achieved a high level of service with this cute little cafe. I’ll get to the coffee in a bit however, the whole experience should be a very pleasant one for most people. The shop is situated on a corner next to a bike track on Bourke Street, Surry Hills, and it takes 15 minutes to walk here from Central station. It creates an interesting ambiance to it with its somewhat quirky yet friendly staff, minimalistic design and layout with a very strong theme of American oak being used thoroughly throughout the cafe. Because Articifer is in Surry Hills, the staff and the other customers can seem a bit strange but I can work with that. There a various stools and couches but they may be limited due to how popular the place is, so I just got a takeaway small cappuccino with no sugar $4. I would definitely come back later and try some of their other coffees but for now I ordered a small cappuccino. It was gorgeous. Texture wise it was very velvety, smooth and slick. The disintegration between the foam, steamed milk and espresso was on point. In terms of flavour, the cappuccino had high notes with a nice honey ring to it. The temperature was great as well. A high quality coffee. I would highly recommend going out of your way to try out Artificer as it an amazing experience and service.

Minimum interior finish with generous space both inside and outside. Very good place to chill out. Great coffee taste! Will come back for more.

i am a fan of hand drip coffee. although there are only 3 kinds of coffee beans to choose from, it is enough to attract me. Copy the description from Japanese sake is 清麗, and the taste is beautiful and attractive. In Sydney, which is rare in Japanese style hand drip, is precious. I sat for an hour, except me, everyone else should be a nearby office worker and residents. many people here can talk to the owner maybe say a few words, even standing in front of the bar and chatting. when the seemingly serious Japanese Owner see the neighbor's dog, he totally change the personalities, so I guess, I hope, I will drink more coffee here, and he will take the initiative to say Hi with me. ha~see ya.
