This may not be exactly the most comfortable cafe to lounge (though I see tons of people doing that) and not the most friendly (hence, one star less), but the coffee served at Anthracite, is really one of the better coffees so far in Seoul! It’s consistently good and strong! Though I wish the baristas at Anthracite would have more pride in making good coffee by taking in feedback to improve, and better enhance the quality and their craft. :)

Quality pour over but I had to deduct one star: noticed half a slice of cake and half an iced drink deposited at the counter by a customer and no one on staff seemed concerned, and the coffee is served in a cup/saucer combo that (at least in my case) did not fit together correctly, so that the coffee will spill everywhere if you don’t walk away from the counter at a glacial pace. Small details in design and service, but they injure the overall experience.

Amazing building with lots of cool shops in the basement worth a view after a coffee. Awesome location, building is stunning.

Really nice space across multi levels with good Wi-Fi. Excellent coffee and yummy cakes. The matcha flavor was real and intense and loved the whole chestnut inside.
