First time here at Lay Low hidden behind a steel door through a shop down Seddon way. Didn't disappoint a loungey bar with great signature cocktails. Their house vodka is best available in a Melbourne bar. Went on a Saturday night full but not over packed. The lighting gives this bar a great ambience. Highly recommend even saw a furry friend lounging around 😁
The Place
Lay Low Bar is pretty hard to get to. First you've got to find the grey door in Brixton Pound, then make your way down a corridor with no signage to find the entrance to the venue. It's well worth the adventure though, since Lay Low serves up some incredibly unique cocktails made with locally-sourced ingredients. With a menu designed to be zero-waste, many of the drinks are made with similar ingredients, but in different combinations - which make for a variety of exciting drinks.

29 Jun 2020A very unique and cosy little speak easy with a eclectic array of liquor. The American whiskey selection is outstanding with some of the worlds best Rye and Bourbon examples on their shelves. The bar tender was very experienced and exceptionally skillful at his craft. Wish it was our local.
